
This course of study is a full 1200 clock hour Spa Therapy course. Your schedule will be a full-time day session, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. You'll learn specialized techniques to purify, balance, and renew the skin--with an emphasis on using pure flower and plant essences in treatments--and study international trends in makeup using Aveda's remarkable petroleum-free cosmetics.

In addition to the above listed chapters on curriculum students will experience a series of Career Development classes and opportunities to learn from guest speaker. Upon graduating an O’Briens Aveda Institute students will be eligible to take Vermont's Esthetics state board exam. Massage is not yet licensed in Vermont, but we prepare our students to sit for the National Certification in massage. Our Spa Therapy course covers units in both practical and theory application.
This curriculum provides skincare
training with an emphasis on using pure flower and plant essences in
treatments. You will learn specialized techniques to purify balance and renew
the skin. Teachings include hands-on experience in facials, waxing, body
treatments, makeup application, business development, wellness and retail
knowledge.
The Aveda Institutes Spa Therapist program combines world class training in
both Esthiology and Massage Therapy.
